Butter Ramen

Ramen: The Holy Grail of college dining; Cheap, simple, delicious, satisfying. As soon as you set foot on any academic institution's campus, it's fragrance will find you. It was said that man cannot live on sliced bread alone, and, unfortunately, man cannot live on the same Ramen dish alone. Variety becomes necessity. This is but another weapon to add to your Instant Noodle Utility Belt. May it serve you well.

What You'll Need:
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 3 oz. brick of instant Ramen Noodles
  • Water
  • Mug (8-9 oz)
  • Microwave

Break your noodle brick in two and stuff it into a coffee mug.
Now fill it almost all of the way up with water.
Nuke it for 3-4 minutes, or however long your years of ramen training tell you to.
Don't grab for the mug right away. This is how rookies get burns.
As soon as its safe, dump the extra water while making sure that noodle loss is minimized.
Add as much butter as you like. I stick to 1/8 to 1/4 of a stick, but I've seen a 1:1 ramen:butter ratio in the field too.
Ravenously consume.

There you go, the easiest Ramen remix that you will ever encounter. Understandably, a few people, mostly those who are not distressed and/or drunk, will want some more variety on top of this. A few additional ideas are below:

Buffalo Ramen
Add a few dashes of Frank's, Tobasco, or Sriracha when you mix the butter in.

The Laziest of Additions
Go crazy and add the seasoning packet that came with your brick o' noodles.

The Importance of Calcium
Mix a handful of your favorite shredded cheese in, especially if its pepperjack.

Super Meal
To get your day started in the shortest possible amount of time, mix with your morning coffee or Red Bull. Warning, this is absolutely disgusting.
