Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce

Jack Daniels Whiskey: A gentleman's drink to say the least. Its fine taste makes the perfect complement to any BBQ sauce. This in turn makes a perfect cover for food that is on the cheap end. Your guests will never be able to tell that your bratwurst and steak selection came from the bargain bin. Best of all, this sauce is cheap, simple, scalable, and it will leave you with plenty of Single Barrel for yourself.

This is a simple 5-3-1 BBQ sauce, and like all French sauces, is the starting point to a thousand more.

This is how easy it is:

Whisk together 5 parts ketchup/catsup, 3 parts brown sugar, and 1 part Jack Daniels.

That's really it. Of course, this is only the beginning. You could add in bacon salt, Sriracha sauce, ranch, or a wide variety of other ingredients to get the exact flavor that you want.

If it is a little to thin for your liking, whisk in small parts of flour until it gets to your preferred consistency.
Likewise, if it is too thick, add more Jack.

Also, if you don't like your sauce to have an alcohol content this high, you can heat it in a sauce pot, or add it before your food starts cooking, to take care of that.

Happy Saucing,
Nick.
